AV Troubleshooting - Mac

Problems:

 

 

 

 

1: Caller can't hear you (you can hear caller) 

A: Copy text to send as IM:
Do you have headphones plugged into your computer?

If caller says yes, ask caller to put them on ears or unplug to switch to internal speakers.

B: Copy text to send as IM:
Do you have external speakers? Are they turned on, and volume turned up?
 

C: Copy text to send as IM:
Let’s try something else. Click on “VSee” in the menu bar at top of your screen, then click on “Preferences…”

D: Copy text to send as IM:
In the window that opened, click on the “Audio” tab. Then in the “Output” section, try selecting a different device, and then press “Play Test Sound” and listen for the sound. Make sure your volume is turned up.

E: Copy text to send as IM:
If you still can’t hear anything, then try selecting a different device from “Output” section.

 

 

 

 

2: You can't hear caller (caller can hear you) 

 

A: Tell caller how to open VSee Preferences window and try a different microphone

Click on “VSee” in the menu bar at top of your screen, then click on “Preferences…”

In the Audio section of the new window, try selecting a different Input Device from the menu.

 

3: You can't see caller (video is muted/video screen is gray) 

A: Tell caller how to unmute their video.
