Problems with HP / CyberLink Webcam

Some HP computers have CyberLink webcam software that can conflict with VSee. If you have an HP computer and are having problems getting your built-in webcam to work in VSee, please check to see if a "CyberLink WebCam Virtual Driver" (or similar) is installed and disable it. See below for Windows 8 and Windows 7/Vista instructions:

Windows 8:

1. Go to the Search charm

2. Search for "device manager", then open Device Manager

3. Open the Sound, video and game controllers section, and right-click on CyberLink WebCam Virtual Driver and select Disable. You may need to restart your computer after this.

4. Exit VSee if it is running: right-click on "V" icon in Windows Sys Tray.

5. Start VSee

 

Windows 7 / Vista:

1. Go to Start Menu and search for "device manager", then open Device Manager

3. Exit VSee if it is running: right-click on "V" icon in Windows Sys Tray.
