Codec

Codec came from words codec and decoder. From the name implies, when used is video communications such as video conferencing, a codec must be both the source and the destination of the communication. For data transmission, the coder compresses the data while for expansion of the received data, the decoder works with it.

VSee is using VP8 codec for video. Another well-known standard is H264, which is currently not supported by VSee.
